White Linen Night in the Heights — A 2025 Guide
White Linen Night is the summer soirée of Houston Heights, celebrating art, community, style, and local business—strictly in white attire, naturally. Streets close down, live music plays, galleries and shops pop open, and thousands of neighbors mingle in summer linens until the night feels endless.
A Little History
Founded in 2006 by New Orleans transplants Chris and Kay Thayer, who brought the tradition of wearing cool white linen to help boost Heights small business activity during sweltering August days.
Modeled on New Orleans' Warehouse District art festival, the Heights version quickly grew into a tradition rooted in art, music, and community.
