For Ellie’s birthday this year, we wanted a space that balanced beauty with comfort — somewhere little kids could explore, parents could relax, and we, as hosts, could simply enjoy the moment. The Bunny Hive became all of that and more.

Set inside a charming 1,416 sq. ft. historic-style bungalow (plus a 400 sq. ft. patio!), The Bunny Hive Houston instantly feels like stepping into a friend’s home — if that friend happened to have impeccable taste.
Soft neutrals, clean lines, warm woods, and an airy layout make the space feel serene and photograph beautifully, even amid the whirl of toddlers, snacks, and birthday magic. It’s calming without being precious, elevated without being fussy — the perfect mix for families.
The Story Behind the Space
The Houston location of The Bunny Hive opened in April 2024, bringing the brand’s beloved concept to the heart of the Heights. From day one, the vision has been simple: create a soothing, design-forward space where babies, toddlers, and their grown-ups can gather — from weekly classes to milestone moments.
Opening in the spring of 2024, the team transformed this bungalow into a place where modern parents could truly exhale. Beautiful, functional, and intentionally intimate.

Our Experience Hosting Ellie’s Birthday
Walking into the bungalow the morning of her party, everything just felt right. One of our favorite details about The Bunny Hive is how the space naturally divides into little pockets — each room its own moment just waiting for a sprinkle of magic.
I had so much fun dreaming up what each corner could become.
A main room for gathering and greeting.
A cozy play area for the littles.
A dedicated nursing room with a changing table for moms who needed a quiet reset.
And the sweetest courtyard outside — just the right size for a small bounce house that made all the toddlers squeal.
Those little pockets throughout the bungalow made the whole celebration feel like a home… without the stress of hosting in our home. Kids drifted from room to room with ease, grown-ups found their spots to relax, and nothing ever felt chaotic or overwhelming.
While Ellie twirled around greeting her friends, we soaked it all in — the laughter bouncing off the shiplap walls, the sunlight streaming in, and that rare feeling of hosting an event that’s truly easy, intentional, and joyful.
As parents of three, ease is the greatest gift a venue can offer.

Their whimsical cotton candy setup was a hit with every kid (and most adults). Fun flavors, fluffy clouds of sugar, and the sweetest service.

Katia and Co transformed the space with stunning balloon installations that tied each room together so effortlessly. And the dirty soda bar? Truly next-level. No alcohol — just fun, fizzy, sweet creations that the kids devoured. They were so good I’m now fully obsessed with dirty sodas myself.
